Lewisham Library and Information Service, London

The Lewisham Library and Information Service is part of the London Libraries Consortium and serves communities in south and parts of inner London. Staff redundancies and an increase in community libraries across Lewisham resulted in sporadic, infrequent stock maintenance. Over time, stock accumulated and the libraries’ shelves were packed with items, many of which were grubby or poorly circulating. Action had to be taken.
