Surrey County Council Library service is made up of 52 branches and serves a population of over 1,000,000. To streamline collection management activities and make evidence-based purchasing decisions, collectionHQ was introduced in 2011 and today the library continues to seek new ways of using the solution to improve their collections.
San Francisco Public Library is a 28 branch system with 5 bookmobiles serving a population of over 800,000. Implementing regular weeding and gaining more granular knowledge of the collections to improve collection management were priorities for management at the library. Management was also intrigued by the possibilities of gaining more use of existing collections via the transfer process. collectionHQ was implemented at the library in November 2011 to help assist with those goals.

To keep pace with their customers’ different needs, the library system became among the first in the United States to start using collectionHQ, the software tool that applies the principles of Evidence Based Stock Management (EBSM) to library collections.
ICMA Certificate of Excellence Award Winner 2012 Phoenix Public Library is known nationally for being at the forefront of new practices that enhance the services it offers to customers. As part of these efforts, Phoenix in 2011 began using collectionHQ software, which uses Evidence Based Stock Management (EBSM) to improve its collection.
New York Public Library (NYPL) is a 90 branch system serving a population of over 3,000,000. Gaining insight into the reading trends of different communities to plan the budget at the library was not straightforward and so collectionHQ was taken on in 2010 to enhance this amongst other tasks. It has since proven an indispensable tool at the library.
