We are delighted to introduce you to Anna Curtis! Anna worked as a library director before joining collectionHQ in early 2023. Now, an integral member of our Customer Success team, Anna works with libraries in the United States to help them best meet the needs of their communities through their collections.
Based in Michigan, you might find Anna browsing the shelves at her local library, the Capital Area District Libraries (when she finds spare time between working, looking after her two children, managing a dairy and chicken farm, and running. Anna was also in a pre-professional ballet company through college!)

Hi Anna! You worked in libraries for a decade before joining collectionHQ, so it’s clear that you love books! Which are your favorites?
I have lots! But if I had to choose, they would be:
Kids books – Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes by Eric Litwin or the Elephant and Piggie series by Mo Willems
Adult books – A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman (Fiction) & Endurance by Scott Kelly or Furiously Happy by Jenny Lawson (Non-Fiction)
Tell us what you love most about working with libraries?
I love seeing libraries succeed and learn about what they are doing for their communities that is unique to them.
You must have lots of happy memories from being in the library, both personally and professionally. What is the memory that stands out?
My happiest memory comes from when I was the Director of a public library; there had never been a dedicated library millage (we were a city department) before 2018 when I helped create a library district with the city and two surrounding townships, and then passed the millage proposal on the first attempt.
Finally, if you had to choose a book to live in, which one would it be?
Any book from The Eyre Affair series by Jasper Fforde
Thank you, Anna!
