Target Refinement

During Acclimatisation, a Library Service will start to get a feel for target figures (and supporting parameter settings) that are appropriate to their organisational resources and constraints, on a collection by collection basis.

The top level default targets and parameters that a Library Service may have selected during the Assessment Phase will therefore be fine tuned during this period. This may involve fine tuning of targets and parameters for specific libraries within the Service, and will likely also include fine tuning of targets on a collection by collection basis.

During this Phase, it would also be expected that a Library Service will start to experiment (if it hasn’t already) with the Stock Refresh and Stock Demand Tools.
