An exciting time at collectionHQ

Director of Customer Experience, Jamie Wright, reflects on the first half of 2024 and shares some exciting insights about our new product cHQacademic!

Over the last few months, we have introduced some of the most important developments to collectionHQ and our family of products since we launched back in 2008.

In April, we announced collectionHQ’s biggest release to date which included major improvements to our DEI analytics module, and to the accessibility of the collectionHQ application. One of the highlights, however, has been the introduction of the new “barcode search” and “recommended action” features. Now, when a librarian scans, searches for, or clicks on a specific book from their collection in collectionHQ, all of the data about that individual item will be collated to display a recommended action – such as whether to remove, replace, or move the item to a new location – and an evidence-based reason for the recommendation. Read the press release for more information.

In June, we were thrilled to announce collectionHQ’s entry into the academic market with cHQacademic. Library professionals from across North America joined us at the ALA Annual Conference in San Diego to celebrate the launch and we were delighted to showcase the product to librarians in the UK at the CILIP Conference in Birmingham. Feedback from our early adopters has been extremely positive and you can read our interview with the Florida State College at Jacksonville (FL) and Siena College (NY) here.

Finally, an important staff announcement. A number of our customers in the UK have recently met with James Barker, our newly appointed Account Manager. James joined collectionHQ in 2021 as events coordinator and has excelled in training customers on how to use our cHQlite and DEI Analysis tools. Congratulations, James!

On behalf of all of us at collectionHQ, we thank you for your continued support, and we hope you are having a wonderful summer.
